Pets on the Move December 5, 2009
How will you move your pets if you are moving a long distance?
We all want our pets to have an easy transition to our next home. There’s so much to think about in regards to moving your household goods and wrapping up loose ends before you depart your current residence and move onto the next.
The kids, if young, must be looked after so you can pay attention to details. The utilities must be turned off at the old place and on at the new. The newspaper subscription needs to be stopped. A car transporter may need to be arranged. Temporary storage might be something to think about. Household mover needs to be organized. The list can go on and on…
Don’t forget FIDO and FIFI need to be looked after. How best to move or transport your dog and cat? Here is a link to help you find a good pet mover or we can do it for you.
The point is, don’t get so wrapped up in everything else regarding your move that you forget about your precious pets.
We’re here to help with all aspects of your move, including moving your precious pets.
Very cool. We moved a few times with pets. Many, many years ago. We moved by road. It can be a trying experience. For one, they don’t appreciate the road trip the way we humans do. For another, their physical needs are different. Quite different!
Sometimes we just get so busy with everything else that we might overlook just how we’re going to move our pets. Best to put this on the list and address how you’re going to get “Fido and Fifi” from A to B before the day of. We can help. Good to see you, Rajiv!
As a child during the 1940s we moved often. My mother would always put butter on our cat’s paws and then put him in a room in the new home. By the time the cat has licked all the butter from its four paws it was relaxed and used to its new surroundings.
Butter on a cat’s paws? I love that, Dave! Your mom was oh so clever!! A great tip for all of us who have cats… On dogs, maybe peanut butter would work better as it would last longer?
Fantastic post Friend, I’m pleased I found it though, ill be checking back soon to see what other articles you have.
