I can't agree more. Lifestyle is something that really must be factored in. When we moved from Bombay to Shanghai, it was on a whim (or really, the result of a three decade long dream of mine), and did not factor in the element of lifestyle. Yet, those almost 5 years in Shanghai were some of the best in my life. One of the factors that came out on top, was that Shanghai (especially as an expat) offered great lifestyle, sans great environment. From there, I moved to Singapore was great as well.

Returning home was a difficult decision. The Indian economy is growing, but life in Bombay (Mumbai), is crap. The lifestyle that Bombay offers is of an extraordinarily low quality.

If I ever move to the US, I will call you!
