Sundial Film Festival – Call to Action July 7, 2010

We need your help in getting the word out. We need film makers, photographers, and attendees! Spread the word about the 2011 Sundial Film Festival to everyone who is breathing!
Movies span a wide subject range and can include anything from animation to thrillers to adventure sports. Length is typically up to 40 minutes long. And don’t forget about the still photography competition which is some attendees favorite aspect of the event. The photos have been amazing and are on display at the Cascade Theatre throughout the event – 15 are chosen via judges to be framed and hung while many others are shown on large screens throughout the theatre including in the theatre itself during intermissions. It’s pretty cool to see your still photos on the big screen, just like it is your movies! And remember that you can vote for the People’s Choice Award for your favorite movie and photograph. Like American Idol, your vote counts here. I was shocked but thrilled to win this award for “Flying D Dog” the first year – my crazy German wired hair pointer flying through the air in snow at Castle Craggs. The festival will be successful with your help. Tell your friends and family to mark the dates on their calendar now. And tell them to tell their friends!!
Oh, I must share this photo I took “on the fly” at this year’s event. It is of Tiger Michiels and myself. Little did I know when I snapped this crazy picture it would be of the two first People’s Choice Award winners (2009 and 2010). Within hours of this, Tiger won the “PCA” for his splendid photo of a cat and mouse. You should see it!
Thank you!! On behalf of the Sundial Film Festival committee, we thank you for helping us spread the word about this fantabulous event. And see you there in March, 2011 at the Cascade Theatre in Redding on the 18th and 19th.
Please tell your friends and ask them to tell their friends. I’m looking at YOU. Yes, YOU! YOU can make an impact here on this event in doing so. We’re wanting everyone interested to jump on board so that there is an impressive attendance in March, 2011. It won’t happen if we stay quiet. Be assertive on this!! Together we can make the film festival rock!!
