Moving With Pets July 25, 2010

When you move, how will you move your pets?  There is so much to think about when moving but we certainly don’t want to overlook how we will get our best friends to the destination.

It may be as simple as taking them with us in the car but, if the destination is far away, you may want to consider flying them.

Have you heard of Pet AirwaysThey are in business specifically to take care of our beloved animals getting from A to B.  They fly cats and dogs not in cargo but in the main cabin!

Established in 2009 by pet lovers, the business is growing and currently operates in these cities:  New York, Ft. Lauderdale, Atalanta, Baltimore/Washington, D.C., Chicago, Omaha, Phoenix, Denver and Los Angeles.

If you are anything like me, I appreciate a visual.  Here is Pet Airways first YouTube video.

To keep current on their business and how it works, you can follow them on Facebook, Twitter along with their website – link above.

Please call me if you have any moving or relocation needs within the United States.  We also have international connections so don’t hesitate to ask.  Our resources are vast and very helpful.  Let’s make it easier on YOU!  Remarkably Easy Moves with ReloMary

Wow, this is a great concept. A friend of mine recently moved from Mumbai to Delhi. He and his family, including their little kid travelled by train – so that their dog could travel with them in the same coup. It is quite a long journey and if an airline offered to fly the doggie in the cabin, I am sure they would have opted for it.

Great that you caught this one, Lubna. Perhaps they can expand into India! Just think! :-D

What a great concept! They have great prices too – a lot lower than I was expecting to see with what I assume is a chartered jet. For instance, it would take a lot of pets to make it economical to do that with a NetJets or similar hour based system. Looking at their youtube video, it would appear that they have a relatively fair number of pets traveling without it turning into a cattle car like the human airlines. This has to be a better way for the pets to move about compared with the rough handling (and lack of customer service) they typically receive by the standard airlines. Very cool! I hope they are able to sustain their awesome service.
