Real estate recovery. Is it at hand?
According to Lawrence Yun in this RisMedia article, we saw the best first quarter in five years in terms of house sale closings at the end of March, 2012. Mr Yun is the chief economist for NAR (National Association of Realtors). He goes on to say that the housing market has clearly turned the corner. With sales rising, inventory is shrinking, and there is a more balanced situation at hand.
In my own referral business, I have talked to numerous Realtors who are seeing multiple offer situations. No doubt the shrinking inventory is part of that.
